Continued groundbreaking achievements
Stetson has been asked to participate in the Environmental Protection Agency’s initiative on responsible meetings and exhibitions as a contributor to the organization’s goal to create the Green Meeting Standard. Stetson will play a part in the initial meeting of the organization in Vancouver prior to the Green Meetings Industry Council’s Greening the Hospitality Industry Conference. Greenbuild International Conference and Expo
USGBC contracts with Stetson Convention Services for the 6th year to partner in producing the largest environmentally responsible tradeshow in the country. Over the past years, the collaboration between organizations has worked to shape the environmental direction of the tradeshow industry, helping to take environmentalism from a “fad” to a viable business strategy. Bill Sandherr, President of Stetson Convention Services has been honored by Tradeshow Week Magazine as one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in the Industry. As the exposition community’s steward in the adoption of environmentally responsible tradeshow production, Mr. Sandherr has created a new paradigm since transitioning Stetson Convention Services to America’s GREENEST Exposition and Tradeshow Contractor. “Bill Sandherr’s pioneering dedication to greening the tradeshow and exposition industry illustrates one of the many ways he has made Stetson a leader in forward-thinking tradeshow exhibition management,” said Peter Templeton, senior vice president of research and education at the U.S. Green Building Council. “The booming success of USGBC’s yearly Greenbuild International Conference and Expo has made it increasingly important that our general services contractor take a proactive role in ensuring the conference itself is as environmentally responsible as possible.
